Our mainstream hiking programs include challenging and scenic day hiking in York County and Maryland. Expect to build endurance as each week gets progressively more challenging. You will experience rocky climbs and descents, scenic overlooks with large rock outcroppings , waterfalls up close, and lots of wild life.
Particpants will also learn some basic camping skills including building fires, purifying water and using camp stoves. Additional survival skills are taught as time permits.
This program meets once a week on Sunday afternoons with a full day graduation trip. Upon graduation students can participate in follow up programs including earning their own pack and additional hikes and camping trips.
